Concorde Fuel Planner

The Concorde Fuel Planner is an ongoing project with aims to make easy the ever so difficult task of calculating correct fuel for a Concorde flight in a simulator.

Language: Microsoft Visual C++.Net and VB.Net

Currently in its second iteration of prototype development, the inital prototype was written in MS Visual C++, for the second the implementation was moved to VB to aid faster development.

The application consists of 7 tabbed interfaces, with 7 underlying domain classes built as a complex tree of abstract classes. One pair for each 'Flight Phase', all independant, for 'What if?' scenarios, but cascading data across the phases and a totaliser allows a complete flight to calculated.

The interface includes custom events and custom components. The seperation of domain and UI classes allows for a future web-interface to be developed with ASP.Net.

Planned completion of this prototype is targeted for December 2006. It may be accepted for release with some polishing, or may again be re-written with the new information gleened being returned to the design phase once more.
